WHAT IS COACHING?

efinition of Coaching utilized by AG Coaching
Coaching is a developed skill set that moves the individual in personal and professional life from current reality to desired outcome through a spirit-led intentional partnership.

The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Coaching honors the client as the expert in his/her life and work and believes that every client is creative, resourceful, and whole. Standing on this foundation, the coach's responsibility is to:

Discover, clarify, and align with what the client wants to achieve;
Encourage client self-discovery;
Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies; and
Hold the client responsible and accountable.

  • The Language of Coaching - 505 @ School of Ministry

    In our role as a communicator, it is important to possess a wide variety of techniques to enhance understanding and promote learning. Among these techniques, this course will focus on the power of metaphor, parables ,formulas, storytelling, and the sharing of our own story. In addition, we will explore the art of listening intently for distinctions and yellow flag words and apply the practice of synthesis to our conversational tool kit. Words matter, especially in our role as a leader. This course will promote the power of precise language and targeted word choice to our conversations, enabling us to promote discovery and new insights in those we lead.

    The course will be offered at the SNEMN Offices on September 27-28, 2017.  The cost for the two day course is $120.00.  The course will take place each day from 9am-4pm.  Lunch and course materials are included in the registration cost.  To register of this course, click HERE.

  • Mentor Coach Cohorts

    In our Network, we want to resource you in your ministry.  One way we do this is through coach training.  We have had many people take coach training, however, a common problem is that many people get “stuck” at that point and though they want to, they never move forward in using coaching in ministry or feel confident enough to do so.  We want to help with that.

    We are offering “Mentor Coaching” in a group format for 10 weeks running in the Fall of 2018.

    This is how it works: once a week you will meet on the phone for a one hour conference call that we will make happen.  On the call will be others who want to move forward with coaching as well as an ICF credentialed mentor coach who will work with the group to enhance their coaching skills.

    Normally, such mentor coaching costs around $1,000 but we will be providing it for you for the cost of $150 for the entire 10 weeks.

    Please note: these groups are limited to 10 participants, and they will fill up quick.  So we encourage you to sign up soon!

    Registration starts soon.
